WARMINISTER CRICKET CLUB TOURED
CATALUNYA CRICKET CLUB
A guest club visited Barcelona for 5 days, in 5 days tour WCC played 2 matches against CATALUNYA UNDER -19 and CATALUNYA COMBINED ELEVEN.
First match was played on 21st April, 2012 at CBM ground .WCC won the toss and batted first. Guest team started well but due to regularly fallen of wickets they were not able to set big target and they scored 109 runs in 25 overs. Catalunya U-19 start was not very good , Opener Zain was declared LBW for just 13 runs on board. After loss of 1st wicket Aizaz Khalid and Muhammad Omer batted very responsibly and both were able to chase the target without getting out in 19 over. Catalunya U-19 won the match by 9 wickets.
Second friendly match played between WCC and Catalunya Combined 11 on 22nd April on the same ground. Catalunya Combined won the toss and set the target of 163 runs in 25 overs. Guest team WCC were not able to handle strong bowling side of Catalunya Combined 11 and all team was out on just 51 runs. From home side Naveed Chaudhry took 5 wickets and Captain Sarfraz played 61 runs not out inning. Catalunya Combined won the match by 112 runs.
At the end President Khalid Shabaz and Director Robert Masih thanks to all players and officials for the best efforts to make the WCC tour successfully completed. |

2012, FIRST TOURNAMENT
CHAMPIONS
BARCELONA EAGLES CRICKET CLUB
First tournament for the year 2012 held on 2 days (12 Feb-19 Feb). 12 Teams Participated in the Super Six tournament .First round completed on 12 Feb, six matches played in first round.
2nd round started on 19 Feb., BCN Eagles quailed for the final by beating Catalunya CC in 1st semi final and Santa Coloma CC was the 2cnd team which played final by winning its semi-final against Olot tigers.
In final match, Santa Coloma batted first and set target of 56 runs in 5 overs, BCN Eagles whole team performed very well and chased the target in last over. BCN Eagles star Qaisar Zulifqar was man of the match for his all round Performance.
